A+ Pro Tutoring is staffed by a superbly experienced, capable, skilled, and award winning retired science teacher who will work with students one-on-one in order to help them progress academically and achieve success in school.

• Subjects: AP Biology, Biology, Honors/Accelerated Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Honors Anatomy & Physiology, Environmental Science, Science Fair Project/ Research and Planning/Competition.

Mission Statement

I will provide professional tutoring services to students in need of academic assistance, guidance, and growth in the area of life science subjects and science research projects.

• Meet with students/parents or guardians/teachers to make preliminary assessments and set goals for tutoring.
• Help students with test taking skills.
• Use the students' own school textbooks and curriculum work as the primary sources or reference points for learning, in order to promote continuity, structure, and understanding of the students' school coursework.
• Cooperatively communicate with student, parents or guardians and teachers to discuss objectives, work to accomplish, and goals reached.
• Use supplemental educational materials (e.g. other textbooks, hands on lab work, online tutorials and lesson plans) as resources that will support or illuminate students' courses of study.
• Help students with subjects that the tutoring teacher has already studied intensively, mastered and taught to others.
• Be available by email, phone, instant messaging (IM), or skype for extra urgent help when needed.

  + Every session is one-on-one so each student gets my full attention from start to finish.

  + I will meet at your home, your school or local public library at a time convenient to your schedule.

  + I will use a variety of successful teaching methods.

  + You may choose from my curriculum or yours, my materials or yours.

  + We will work together to set developmentally appropriate goals.

  + I will make recommendations, do evaluations and adjust curriculum as needed or at your request.

  + In addition to a standard teaching credential I am CLAD/ELL licensed.

  + I have 38+ years classroom experience and hands on lab experience.

  + I will not ask you to sign a long-term contract or even demand a deposit.

  + You may pay per session or by the month.

  +Costs: $50.00 per hour *
