FINGER PRINT FORENSICS LAB
Introduction: Detectives use a variety of methods to study and lift finger prints at crime scenes. Use these links (from previous labs we have done) Studying and Reading Finger print patterns (http://www.chymist.com/FINGERPRINTING.pdf) and also
Materials:
Envelops containing the actual finger prints of the victim and the primary suspects numbered 1,2 and 3.
Envelopes containing filter papers with LATENT prints of the crime scene
Compare all of the sets of finger prints. Determine by # which belong to the victim, and to the suspect or suspects that were also at the crime scene. Collect one of each of the finger print samples that supports your claim of who is the victim, the single primary suspect in the opinion of your CSI team. Put these into your evidence envelope. You will need to examine them further as you do a thorough analysis of the finger print patterns (refer to the previous link above)
